DescriptionAs cloud services become more and more prevalent in university and research environments, IT departments are increasingly forced to make sacrifices as they balance usability with security. On top of that, both the European Union and local governments are beginning to issue laws intended to ensure cloud data remains in the EU.
The regulatory climate surrounding storage location means that universities and research institutions in the Nordics need to be more aware than ever where the data they store in the cloud is physically located. ‘Somewhere in the cloud’ isn’t good enough any more.
