DescriptionResearch methodology and philosophy has taken different shapes and forms since we started using a more structural approach when studying the universe, live and our societies. Although research does not always have to have a clear application and use, it is an area that is still heavily invested in by states and by public funds since research is considered to have an added-value to our societal development and economy. The past few years the words Open Science has started to spread among the scientific community, including policy makers and politicians. Many are working on its definition, opportunities that come with and the limitations. This talk discusses the challenges with Open Science as the new paradigm in research and how the culture change is sensitive to the stakeholders and the pace in which things evolve or develop.
