DescriptionQuantum networks promise to deliver new applications such as distributing cryptographic keys with provable security and synchronizing clocks with unprecedented accuracy. Quantum network simulations can help in understanding tradeoffs of alternative architectures, optimizing hardware, and developing a control plane. Simulator of QUantum Network Communication (SeQUeNCe) is a customizable discrete-event quantum network simulator that models quantum hardware and network protocols. SeQUeNCe uses a modularized design that separates functionality at different network layers into modules, which allows for testing of alternative protocols and hardware models and the study of their interactions. In this talk, I will provide a brief introduction to SeQUeNCe.
