Challenges and Opportunities Building a Wireless Campus Network

SessionCampus Network
DescriptionThe last 5-10 years we have seen a dramatic increase in use and demand of wireless access in the Campus environment. New technologies like 802.11ac and new types of devices have changed the way we access the network. How did we get here and what's ahead? How to keep up with constant expansion and increasing demand? When does it make sense to rely solely on wireless access?
The practical implications on campuses are quite visible. The exhaustion of the IPv4 addresses suggests that IPv6 should be deployed in the wireless access networks as well.
Recent results from the field are introduced in this presentation.
Best practices and guidelines based on experiences on HD deployment and 802.11ac are shared.
