Descriptionn this session we will cover news and updates from the Wi-Fi Alliance, which focuses on Wi-Fi certification. Current work include Passpoint certification, which is based on Hotspot 2.0 technology. Furthermore, we will have a presentation on the new 802.11ax standard, which is marketed as WiFi 6 by the Wi-Fi Alliance. Wi-Fi monitoring will also be included in this session with a market overview and in addition to Wi-Fi, other wireless technologies at campuses are also covered in the session. Relevant wireless technologies on campuses include LoRaWAN, ZigBee and 5G.
