DescriptionEthernet has been the preferred and de-facto standard in LAN implementations. An extension to Ethernet known as Operations, Administration and Maintenance (OAM) is addressing carries need for a standard way for verifying service assurance in MAN and WAN. OpenFlow is a emerging new technology that could change the way we do networking. This session will present trials on Ethernet OAM carried out at GÉANT networks, the integration av Ethernet OAM in OpenFlow at SARA and the status of the large OpenFlow testbed at OFELIA.
