One Protocol Good, Two Protocols ?

Geoff Huston
TrackPlenary (Auditorium 1)
DescriptionIt has often been said that content providers are reluctant to convert their service to dual stack because of concerns that the end user experience would be worse as a result. At the same time service providers are reluctant to offer a dual protocol service because of concerns that the experience would be worse for their customers. How much of these concerns are based on measured data? In this presentation we will examine the outcome of a large scale data collection exercise in measuring the dual stack experience for end users, and see to what extent these concerns about dual stack performance are seen in the data.
